Huntsman have a new opportunity for a systems orientated Commodity Pricing & DVP Analyst to join our team in a newly created position within the business. Within this role you will be responsible for effectively running our commodity pricing tool whilst collecting relevant market data for scenario setting to suggest threshold improvements. As the Pricing and DVP Analyst you will also capture success rates of quoted prices and monitor sales performance to develop, run, and continuously improve the DVP model through ongoing communications with data, IT, analytics, and business stakeholders.

Additionally, as the Commodity Pricing & DVP Analyst, you will:

• Analyse ongoing Commodity and DVP pricing performances and identify new pricing opportunities for the business
• Provide analytical support to the Pricing Manager and Leadership Team on pricing-related issues
• Work with the IT departments to manage the link between various databases to allow us to define needs for inclusion of external data, assess sources and adapt data structure
• Support the ongoing maintenance and improvements of existing pricing models
• Support the Pricing Manager in translating pricing model results into the business and pricing strategies to aid with ongoing negotiations.
• Continuously test the predictive power of existing pricing models to identify areas for improvements and the addition of further data once available

Profil recherché


• Graduate or post-graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics) with previous experience in a similar role
• Previous exposure to pricing strategies and/or additional broader product or sales experience is required
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to construct and execute multiple complex analyses in a pragmatic and results driven manner
• Expertise in use of analytics, statistics and visualization software is a plus (e.g., Tableau, R, Alteryx, SAS)
• Good knowledge of modelling techniques (regression, segmentation etc.) and experience with statistical programming software like SAS, R, equivalents and SQL would be highly beneficial but not essential
• Fluent in English with additional language(s) (Dutch, French, German etc.) also beneficial
